Creeping thyme is a hardy perennial widely used as a trailing ground cover in aromatic landscapes.
Creeping thyme plants are slow growing hardy perennials in USDA hardiness zones 4-9. It thrives in full sun or part shade and is tolerant of rocky soils and deer.
In early summer, red creeping thyme covers your garden floor in a sea of magenta or lavender red.
The plant is densely covered with small, dark green, glossy leaves that are highly aromatic when crushed.
Growth Rate – The creeping thyme plant is a low, usually creeping subshrub growing to 2 cm tall with stolons up to 10 cm long.

Beautiful Ground Cover That Smells Amazing and Attracts Pollinators!
Red creeping thyme has been one of the best additions to our garden and walkways. It spreads beautifully without being invasive, forming a lush, low-growing carpet thatâs both tough and pretty. The tiny red-pink blooms are vibrant in the summer and attract bees and butterflies like crazyâgreat for supporting pollinators.Itâs also fragrant when you walk on it or brush against it, giving off a light, herbal scent thatâs refreshing without being overpowering. We planted it between stepping stones and along a border where grass struggled to grow, and itâs thriving with very little maintenance.Itâs drought-tolerant, holds up to foot traffic, and comes back strong year after year. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add color, texture, and natural charm to their landscape!

DONT BUY THESE, WAISTE OF MONEY
SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! DON’T PURCHASE THESE!!!I bought 2 pkgs of these beautiful flowers. I have a green thumb and always have an easy time growing plants from seeds. Not with these, complete rip off!!! I followed instructions exactly!! Nothing is coming up except weeds. No way to contact the company to get a refund.Sad thing is, I spent $70 on different colors of these seeds. No number for customer serviceI contacted Amazon, was told to contact company.

Not what itâs label indicates
I ordered this product and received a packaged and labels as âred creeping thymeâ; however, the seeds in the package grew into whichever plant is in attached photograph.Clearly it is not thyme and clearly it is not red.It is a low growing plant though with only thinly leafed stems on its flowers so, at least, it doesnât block my irrigation.Unable to return as the window for that closed well before the plant was identifiable as not being thyme.

Just buy the actual plants
Maybe half came up which I could work with but they are taking months and months to grow. Not sure they’ll make it and in perfect weather.

Weeds grew not creeping thyme
Extremely disappointed. I dug up my entire front yard to replace with creeping thyme seeds to only have what picture this identifies as a common knot grass weed. I’ll have to redo my entire front lawn. I’m exhausted and extremely disappointed ð. So much work to have a lawn peppered with weeds. I even covered the dirt for months to kill any weed/grass roots after digging the entire lawn by hand. I’m sick to my stomach for this disaster.
