Amazing! (Use pebbles!!)
Amazing! I have been trying to grow milkweed for at least 3 seasons. This year it finally worked! I live in PA and watched a lot of online tutorials. I sowed the seeds outdoors the first week of March in small pots with top quality potting soil and scattered pebbles on top of half of the pots as an experiment. This is the absolute latest you can start growing them outdoors I have now learned. They need a lot of cold to get activated. The ones with pebbles sprouted 3-4x more. The pebbles were essential to the process! They protect the seeds from the elements, especially the winds of March and the migration of birds looking for food. I have no idea yet which ones have grown in the most, but I definitely have so many now I’m gonna have to start giving them away. Worth it if it keeps the monarchs living another day! ð¦

Pretty & Detailed seed packs
Well packaged, arrived in excellent shape. Pretty enough seed packs to make them a fun hostess gift. Very detailed planting and care instructions on the back of the seed pack. Can’t wait to watch them grow and help the butterflies!

50% germination but 100% customer service – full refund
This set of milkweed seeds was $9.99 when I purchased them in January 2025.I placed the seeds inside a damp paper towel, inside a plastic bag, taped against my refrigerator wall with temperatures around 32-35°F. I let them cold-stratify like this for 2 months. My seeds had an average germination rate of about 50% overall, with certain types being more successful than others. This is my estimation based on visuals:Common pink: 90%Showy: 90%Orange butterfly: 50%White swamp: 40%Common: 1%Pink swamp: 0%While I experimented between small soil-blocking and large soil-blocking, all seeds still experienced the same soil mix/temperatures/watering/lighting. The seeds placed on TOP of the soil seem to have germinated better than those further down in the soil.I contacted customer support through their own website and I received a response within 12 hours with a refund! I was hoping for new seeds instead but this company doesn’t do that for Amazon orders.Ultimately, given my 100% refund, I’m very happy with my seedlings. While not all the germination rates were great, and I was originally hoping for ~500 plants, but I do still have about 100~200 seedlings with all of my money back.Since the price increase/sale ended, I’ve found better prices on milkweed seeds elsewhere (e Bay). But I would still buy from this shop again if the price went back down, because customer service was perfect! Rest assured that even if you have problems with your seeds, customer service will help you. There is no risk. Now I just have to wait and see if the seedlings grow big enough for the Monarchs to enjoy!

They sprouted for me!
I put them on a wet paper towel in a ziploc bag forâ¦. Idk. I forgot them in the fridge for probably a month. I put them in soil on Friday, today is Wednesday and I have sprouts! Theyâre a little leggy because I forgot to move them but theyâre there.

Would buy again
Nice selection. Took nicely to the ground

Not all the packets are good.
I followed all the directions and treated each variety exactly the same. Nearly 100 percent of all the varieties germinated and grew except for the “Swamp Pink”. Not a single seed germinated from that packet. Unfortunately it’s the variety I wanted most (and it’s the one the seller puts in the front center). Of course, the seller doesn’t have to do anything because by the time you put the seeds through 30-60 days of cold stratification, plant them, then find out the seeds are bad, the return window is long gone.
