It’s All About the Base
We received our umbrella in navy blue in perfect condition. The box was a bit banged up but the parts inside were fine. It went together relatively easily. The quality is good for the price. The fabric was well stitched and fitted onto the folding frame. The solar lights are great!However, CAUTION: you ABSOLUTELY need to order the base weights that are NOT included with the umbrella or weight/screw down the base by other means! We had ordered them but they did not arrive at the same time as the umbrella. We set up the umbrella and it almost immediately fell over on my spouse with the first light breeze. The steel “tee” base it comes with will not support the weight of this umbrella. Also, we recommend two (2) people when setting it up as it is bulky and a bit heavy. The base that you can order separately can be filled with either water or sand. We recommend SAND as it is almost twice the weight of water and makes the umbrella much more secure and stable.

Good quality umbrella
Very nice umbrella. Need to add a base though. It slides under our deck rails so that is working out, or I think you could screw it into a wooden deck or maybe buy some bags of rocks to hold it down; otherwise, if none of those will work for you, you will definitely need to add the suggested base. I would recommend this umbrella for the price. Good quality and the lights look nice at night. There is a button on the inside to turn them on.

This item came quickly, packaged well, and looks like the photos. The solar lights arenât too bright but bright enough to see and set an ambiance. There is an on and off switch so the lights arenât just on all the time and if you happen to want darkness. Really happy with this purchase.

Buyer beware!!!! It is an okay quality product. You must use the provided base which takes up a significant foot and in order to keep it upright you MUST purchase weights because the stand is literally two poles in an x like a christmas tree.This is NOT an Amazon shipper. You will have to pay for shipping to return. I want to return the item, but the price is literally around $15 less than what I originally purchased it for.So if you want to deal with a third party AND pay for additional weights it is an okay product, and there is no cover or tie down so you will have to figure out how to keep it from catching sail and flying too.

Big, beautiful umbrella with LED lighting
I was blown away by this umbrella, it was so much more than I expected. It is a very large, cantilever umbrella that adds a resort touch to my deck. The lighting is LED which really adds the right amount of brightness to the area. I appreciate that the umbrella is also vented that will help when it may be a bit breezy, but I still would close it if there is high winds. The one thing that I did add was a sturdy umbrella stand because I did not want to add sandbags to the bottom of the umbrella. I was able to put a small love seat under the umbrella and because it is offset, the whole seat is covered by the umbrella. I love that I can sit under this umbrella when I want to get out of the sun and it will keep me covered. I especially like the brightness of the LED lighting because I love to read and I can go out at night with my Kindle to relax and the lighting is perfect and not overly bright or so low that it doesn’t help. I think that the tan is a beautiful color and look forward to having this umbrella for many years to come.

Thoughtful Construction, but Plan for Physics!
This was our first cantilever umbrella, so there was a bit of a learning curve with regards to setting it up, and keeping it anchored. If you are a seasoned pro, skip the next paragraph!.For us newbies – pay attention to the directions! This comes together very easily, but it took a bit of trial and error for me to figure out how to get the umbrella fully unfurled. The trick for me was popping the little sleeve off of the hinge mechanism. That allows everything to move more easily. The other issue was understanding how to anchor the base. The description of this product does clearly state that the base stand is not included. You *will definitely* need either an official base stand, or at least a bunch of cinder blocks, to get this umbrella stabilized. I ended up opting for a sandbag system and about 300# of sand..So for those of you who have experience with cantilevered umbrellas – this is a very good product for the price point. It works smoothly and shades exactly the area we needed in our backyard. The solar cell was easy to install, and the integrated LED lighting looks so sleek – a practical addition to night-time backyard parties..While the umbrella is vented for stability, I would still recommend closing it up and setting it in the “stowed” position during very inclement weather. This should be very easy to disassemble for the winter months as well. There are two tightening nuts and two pressure lock buttons that need to be loosened/depressed to separate the umbrella from the stand, and then then the feet of the stand can be unscrewed for even flatter storage.
