A Fireplace for Your Nose
My wife and I splurged on a 100″ TV at the start of this winter and among our favorite things to display on it are the fireplace videos with burning and crackling logs that can found on YouTube. With a screen that size, you feel like you’re sitting at the huge hearth of mountain lodge. To enhance the sight and sound sensations of this illusion, we use a parabolic dish heater and beam it at our couch. Heaters like this emit a directional beam that’s felt as a palpable wave of heat, thus adding a third sensory impression of warmth to our virtual reality fireplace.All that was missing from this multi-sensory illusion was the aroma of wood smoke. Thus, began our sniffing quest of the scented candle aisles in several local stores. When no candle that we sniffed had a convincing aroma, we decided to try Amazon. With online shopping, you have to give up the touchy-feely-sniffy sensory inputs that help you decide on products in brick & mortar stores. So, we had to rely on the reviews of customers who had purchased and used the candles that were available. Based on those reviews, we bought the WoodWick Wood Smoke Hourglass Candle, and we were delighted with the aroma. While it may not nail the precise odor of burning logs, it beats anything we sniffed in stores. The very pleasing aroma does a persuasive job of completing our synthetic fireplace experience. Creates cozy atmosphere
This wood wick candle burns with a crackle fireplace sound. The fragrance is sublime and earthy. It’s long lasting and fills our home with a cozy fireside atmosphere minus the fireplace. I’ve bought several and hope they create more scents. They’re just great!

Love the smell of this candle! It has a tad bit of a cigar humidor scent and clove/musk. I’ve had this candle lit for the last 7 hours and the wax level has dropped maybe 1/4″. These are the longest lasting branded candles I’ve ever used!

Buy this if you don’t like flowery very feminine smells typically I go for vanillas ambers bergamonts more spicy and warm and this is just my favorite of all time!

The wick on this candle is awesome. It burns better than the candles with three regular wicks. Highly recommend this candle. It smells great too and has a respectable burn

Fireside scent? Not Really. Love the design and the unique crackling wick
Not exactly what I was hoping for though.My review is a little plagiarism from someone else’s post a year ago. But they said exactly how I was feeling about the scent. I almost gave it 3 stars because I thought the scent was so far off from a Fireside. What was I expecting? More of a scent/smell when you go outside your home and you know someone in your neighbourhood has a fire going in their fireplace. This one has a slight floral sweetness I can’t quite describe. The crackling of the wick is pleasant, and the fragrance is strong without being overpowering.All in all, I like it. But if you want a candle that smells more like a campfire in the woods, this is not it.

I love woodwick candles. I have a black cherry one which I love lighting and listening to the crackle, but what I really wanted was something that would smell like a proper wood fire too. They have several “fire” fragrances, bonfire, fireside, etc, but based on other reviews I thought I’d try this one. Definitely smokey! Success!

Schöne Kerze, die super riecht und beim Brennen toll knistert .Habe sie verschenkt und habe schon öfter gesagt bekommen, wie toll diese Kerze ist. Mir persönlich wäre sie zu teuer, um sie regelmäÃig zu kaufen, aber für ein Geschenk mal eine besondere Kerze. Und das Glas kann man danach auch nochmal für Deko nutzen.

I was hesitant on what I would get, but Iâve been very happy with the quality of the purchase since I started burning the candle nearly 4 months ago! Itâs never lost the sound, granted as it gets lower it does crackle less but itâs still a peaceful puttering. The aroma is soothing and I highly recommend enjoying with a good book and a wood fire on your tv.Iâll definitely be buying again.
