Great look, quality, extra tall for large pool towels

Not heavy enough
The base is not heavy enough, it is too light and cannot withstand the heavy rain and strong wind in summer.

Very strong, very sturdy
This a really good towel, pool cleaner hose, or outdoor item holder! It’s got pretty solid “arms”, and it’s been able to hold 2 50 ft cleaning hoses, on top of 2 100 ft garden hoses. I haven’t had any issues with the stand falling over or being knocked down from wind, and it looks pretty nice! I like that it doesn’t look like the traditional shelving units for outside. I think it’s priced pretty well, and super easy to put together. The directions weren’t needed but do come with! I would reccomend to use, even if youdont want to hang towels, or use it outside. I used mine for the first week hanging my work clothes on it coming out the washer!

Attractive towel rack but needs a few improvements
This is an attractive towel rack with a hammered metal finish and five separate poles for hanging towels, pool toys, etc. It is easy to assemble with screw-together poles along with legs attached by bolts and nut which can be tightened with the provided tools. The steel bars seem fairly heavy duty and should easily support the recommended maximum weight of 33 pounds. However, it also has a number of design issues which keep it from being a five-star item. Most importantly, despite being described as having a stable base, it is actually fairly light weight at only about 8 pounds total. It seems prone to tipping over, especially if it has towels on it to catch a gust of wind. The sales page boasts that no sand-filled weight it needed, but I actually purchased one (third attached picture) to slide over the pole at the base to give the towel rack more stability. It also has a somewhat questionable design feature in that the fifth pole does not have a matching pole on the other side, so that might make it harder to balance the load of items on the pole. I guess the only good thing is that the steel pole should survive falling over, unlike the wooden towel rack this is replacing. Another problems is that the pole is noticeably a few degrees from vertical when the towel rack is assembled. It looks like the connection between the base plate and the pole mount is probably not exactly square, and this becomes very noticeable over the five foot height of the rack. I am hoping I can correct this by bending the legs to compensate. An additional minor flaw is that the legs are also a little prone to moving back and forth a small amount, even when the bolts and nuts are fully tightened. And finally, this comes with nice rubber feet for the ends of the base. These should keeps the legs from sliding too easily and keep them from scratching the surface under the pole. Unfortunately, these tended to fall off of the legs when the rack was moved until I glued them on. I do plan to keep and use this towel rack after fixing the above problems, but the customer shouldn’t have to remanufacture a product to make it usable.
