Sturdy and elegant but firm
These chairs are beautiful. Simple and classy. Super easy to assemble. Iâm not used to the style as Iâve always sat against a high back. I find that when I put an 18×18 decorative pillow in the chair, it supports my back better. You notice the firmness as soon as you sit. There is no cushiony feel, very firm. I may decide to put a thin cushion on seat. However, it is not so uncomfortable that you want to get back up, but if it has some cushion depth, I would like them more.

I purchased these chairs from this vendor (the Kmax store) after spending weeks looking for dining chairs. I looked at multiple websites and this vendor was – by far – the best priced, offered fast FREE shipping and was very attentive to my purchase from the first exchange.The chairs themselves came VERY well packed, with foam packing covering the chair legs so that they arrived pristine. The seats had bubble wrap and cardboard over them, even before they were put into boxes. Everything arrived perfectly and the assembly was truly just screwing 4 screws into each seat. That was it – 4 screws and the chairs were assembled and ready for use.One of the chairs was missing a floor protector “button” that goes on the base of the chair, so your floors won’t scratch. I emailed the vendor and they not only responded quickly, they had already sent me a pack of the buttons to attach to the chair with no issues at all. I think that is GREAT customer service.Additionally, these chairs are SUPER comfortable. They have a thickly padded seat and the barrel shape is cosy and stylish at the same time. I am on the shorter side so the back of the chair is good for me, but if you are very tall you may find the back of the chair to be a little low. Even so, it is so comfortable I doubt it would matter.Lastly, the material of the chairs is quality. The velvet I bought is green and it is a lush olive shade, that is muted and elegant. The shade compliments the brass legs of the chairs perfectly and I am beyond happy with this purchase. These chairs have elevated my dining room aesthetic without being too fussy. I wholeheartedly recommend this product and the Kmax storefront.
