Straightforward assembly, construction seems sound.
Moderately idiot proof for construction. Good instructions, and Iâm pretty bad at following directions.Very happy about the extra screws after I spilled the bag and one went missing. Measurements are on point.You need a screwdriver. A second person is useful but optional if you can balance the lid on the box while you screw it in.Any frustration I have experienced with this product was of own making.

A TON of storage
We love this storage bin and to our surprise, it matches our patio furniture to a Tee. As if it came with our set. It fits all of our cushions with room to spare. We have 16 total cushions in it. 2 chairs take 2 each(top&bottoms), love seat takes 4, couch takes 6, and 1 each on the ottoman/backless chair in which we have 2.

Big, easy to assemble and lockable1
We are able bodied (well. one bum knee) mid 60’s couple who unboxed, assembled and placed the box in about 30 minutes. This is a “snap together” type of assembly with some screws so we knew we should carefully read through everything and familiarize ourselves with the pieces. That little extra step made the actual assembly fast and easy. It’s a nice looking box once assembled and serves our needs for cushions, noodles, floats and pool toys. This is tall and it holds a lot!There is an “X” style cross brace for the lid so it will support some weight while closed but I don’t suggest counting on this box for seating average adults. It easily supported our 3 dogs combined weight of 90 lbs for a photo but that was for fun and it will not be part of seating for any age.The box interior has stayed dry (so far) through some thunderstorms and when a nearby river birch made a bit of mess, everything rinsed off easily with a water hose.In summary, this box assembled easily and quickly, looks nice, provides poolside dry storage and a lock can be added if needed. We are happy with this purchase and will likely buy this brand again!

Sturdy, nice looking storage
We ordered 2 of these giant storage boxes for deck cushions and could not be more pleased. They happen to match our deck colors perfectly, they look spiffy, and they are quite spacious inside, plenty of room for our outdoor cushions. Materials used seem very sturdy, we do not think critters will be able to get inside, and expect these boxes to be very handy. It does take some time to put them together; it helps if you have a power screwdriver.

BAD engineering of metal parts in lid
Inside the lid there is a long metal piece with six pre-drilled holes. We are supposed to tighten screws through the holes into screw receptacles. Four of the six pre-drilled holes did not match up with the receptacles AT ALL. We had to use a metal punch and re-drill the holes so that the screws would fit into the receptacles. Then there is the metal lid-locking mechanism. One piece is screwed onto the lid, the other is attached to the body. Each piece has a metal loop which are supposed to be side by side when the lid is closed, so that a padlock will fit through both loops and secure the contents of the chest. Those two metal pieces are not interchangeable so we didnât make any mistakes on assembly, but when the lid is lowered those two pieces were ridiculously out of alignment. Instead of sliding together, so a lock would go through the two loops, the loop from the lid piece was stacked on top of the body piece so the lid was held open about 2 inches. Iâm not worried about anyone stealing my furniture cushions, but it would be nice to be able to secure the lid in case of really bad weather or high winds. We removed the locking mechanism so the lid would close. We had rain here yesterday and thereâs a big pool of rain on top of the lid, so thatâs not designed to shed water. The ONLY reason I didnât return the chest is because I need a really big one that will hold all of my cushions and this one fit that bill. PLUSES: The assembly instructions were really good. The plastic parts all snapped together easily, and seem like they will stay together. The chest is big enough to hold the seat and back cushions for my six wicker chairs and loveseat, the seat and back cushions for my porch swing, AND six 16â x16â throw pillows, AND theyâre not all squished in there. If the metal pieces had been engineered correctly, I would really like this chest.

Lightweight/solid is how I would describe this. All of my spa equipment & cushions fit into this and I dont need to worry because I bought a storage cover for the winter!

Great product, easy to assemble
Just finished assembling my new Keter 230 gal deck box. I really like it. Product appears to be well made and it was easy to assemble. I was also impressed with the packaging. There was plenty of thick cardboard buffer to prevent damage in shipping and shipping damage was one of my concerns prior to ordering. This box will work well to store my large patio cushions. I would definitely purchase another one should I need it.

I bought this to store large cushions for garden furniture without having to keep going back and forth to the garage. So far so good.It was the only storage box large enough at a reasonable price.- It is easy to assemble – instructions are pretty clear which is unusual for self assembly items but as with all such things you do need to read them first and make sure you know which bits go where. Each part is labelled.- Although the instructions suggest 2 people are needed for assembly , I found it fine to do this by myself. 2 people are needed to move the whole box once delivered.- It is fairly sturdy (not for sitting on though) and seems to be weatherproof – all cushions dry despite heavy rain. Like other reviewers have said it is probably not advisable to store cushions in it over winter.Suggestion- it would be better if the lid sloped so rain drained off automatically. It pools on the lid so manual tipping of the whole box is required.Bear in mind that although the external dimensions are correct you will lose a couple of cm internally because of the thickness/design of the structure.

What a beautiful piece of kit!! It went together so easily and is really sturdy. I bought it to house all of my drum kit gear and it fits with room to spare. I’m going to buy a waterproof cover to stick on over winter just in case, but couldn’t be happier. Quality purchase!

Great size. We fitted cushions for 6 dining-chairs, base and back cushions for 2 armchairs and a sofa, plus 2 sunbed cushions and assorted blankets with space to spare. The box is sturdy and it has proven to be weatherproof. However, the hinges/struts aren’t up to the job. We’ve had this box for five months, opening and closing maybe a couple of times a week tops in the last three months. The metal brackets holding the strut to the lid are rather thin and one has completely snapped (and without much use, force or adverse weather). Now one corner of the lid sticks up high enough to admit rain. I shall update once I’ve contacted Keter but I’m not holding my breath…
