A Soaking Mist…
Misters work fabulously. I’m really impressed how fine the water sprays are: a truly super fine mist that soaks my plants just right while creating a perfect humid environment for my tropical plants.

An alright system for about $40, but I wish there were a few more pieces.
This is a pretty straightforward system. Connects to the hose bib, has about 8′ of blank tubing, and then emitters every 29″. I was hoping there would be some T fittings included so I could get a little more creative with the layout, but there weren’t any. You can shorten it, and it seems like you’d be able to lengthen it by adding another kit to the end. Each emitter has push-in fittings, so it’s fairly easy to change the length. It took me about 20 minutes to set it up, zip-tying each emitter to the waterproof bistro lights I already have hung around my patio. They make a decently fine mist on the pressure provided by my residential well system. That was my biggest concern. When I looked at these systems a few years ago, it seemed like you needed added pressure for them to work properly, but this system doesn’t. As many have noted in other reviews, they can douse the area in water. I noticed that mine got the ground wet on one side of the patio, but not the other. This may be because that side was closer to the spigot, or could be because it was in the shade. But don’t expect to use this and not get a little wet unless you are in an extremely dry climate. Any misting system works by increasing the humidity in the area, which makes it FEEL cooler. But it won’t actually get any cooler. See my photos. After ten minutes, the humidity had increased noticeably, but the temperature had not changed. Although it doesn’t use very much water, I wouldn’t recommend leaving it on for hours. Everything will be drenched. Ideally, you probably want the ability to cycle it on and off for a few minutes at a time. It was noticeably more comfortable on the patio when it was on, but you are balancing the discomfort caused by heat with that caused by being wet. I haven’t had the chance yet to try it in really hot weather (like over 90), but I suspect that’s where it will do best. I also probably wouldn’t bother if you’re in a really humid climate like Florida or the Midwest. It simply won’t do anything if the humidity is already close to 100%. I do wish the individual emitters could be shut off or capped. I’d like to turn certain ones off, either temporarily or permanently, but I don’t see how you can do that with the included parts. Overall, it’s a great system for such a good price, but it could be better.I should add, this would also make a GREAT system for watering a garden. I may order another one for that purpose.

Does the job. No hassle of assembling one. All misters works well with nominal pressure. I am worried about clogging but hoping it works out.

We live in Kelowna . It’s often called the “California of Canada”. So Summer gets pretty warm out here. We have a sundeck that gets all the sun from 3 PM until the sunset. And it is unbearable to sit on our deck sometimes in the summer. My husband and his friend set up a mister system on our back deck for us in about an hour using these. I was worried that purchasing this on Amazon. The misters might be not that great. But this thing is awesome.! Puts out the perfect amount of mist. Very very happy with it!

I installed this around the perimeter of our raised garden and aimed the misters toward the middle paralell to the ground, the mist will blow away if it’s windy so do this when it’s calm. Next year I will place these in position when planting and mount the sprayers about 6″ above each plant and the spray will be directed down and hopefully won’t be affected by wind as much. My only gripe is that these come preassembled, so won’t work for uses like mine without modification, likely ok for misting patios or adding to fans for misting large areas, but for gardens it would be better if the kit came with just a long hose and the spray heads separate so assembly would be required, though they are easy to disassemble and reassemble if needed.
