Very decent starter kit for new gardener
Everything works pretty well- I’ve been gardening for years and none of these tools are disappointing. The only thing I will say is that if someone is growing things that require serious pruning than they will likely want better pruners- but even so these are likely adequate for someone new to gardening or casually gardening. It you have 200 rose bushes though you likely want a better pruner. I’ve still used them a lot and they are fine- no issues thus far.The funny thing is, the gloves that came with this set are now my favorite weeding gloves. I have larger hands and usually the lighter weight gloves are too small or the larger gloves are too heavy duty for weeding and potting up and so on. These are the perfect weeding/uppotting seedlings gloves. It’s funny because that was the only part of the kit that felt a bit cheap, but, I really like them. They are not perforation proof- if there’s a rose thorn it will make it through these gloves- but, these are so nice for reducing how dirty your hands get weeding and transplanting.Overall- it’s a very likable kit with no significant drawbacks. Most of the tools will be usable for years with no need to upgrade them.

    All the essentials.
My wife was getting several plants for Mother’s Day, and when I saw this gardening hand-tool set from VerdantVibes, I knew it would be the perfect accompaniment. She loves gardening and propagation, indoors and out, and with all she devotes to it, I thought this set would be both thoughtful and useful, and it definitely is. Instead of using a few random tools for everything, she now has the right tools for every task, all organized, and together in one place. The set included pruning shears, both wide and narrow trowel, cultivator, hand fork, weeder with fulcrum for easy weed removal, a small spray bottle, and gardening gloves, along with a durable tote. She loves having everything in the tote, as it puts everything at her fingertips, and it is easily portable. The tote has ample room for not only the included tools, but anything else she is going to be using. Everything is of good quality and perfect for any gardening hobbyist. Very nice set, which is already seeing a lot of use.

Good Value Starter Set – Not Generational Tools
This is a nice set of basic gardening tools and a handy storage bag. These tools are basic and not going to be high-quality, but they do the job. Personally, I just really needed a few tools to help me with weeding and some dead spots in my yard I need to turn, and this was a simple way to get them all in one and keep them organized in the garage. This would make a lovely housewarming gift for a recent college grad who moved into a place where they have a small garden or window boxes, but it is not going to be the set of tools you keep for the rest of your life (my mom still has the same garden tools from 1970). That’s just how things are now, however (oh, I sound old), and so for the price and what you get, these are five-star.

    Great gift for gardeners
I got this for my mom to do some gardening and she loved it. It comes with all the tools you need and also a durable carrying bag. The tools are sturdy enough to do real gardening and work outside, they seem well built and not like they will break unless you are trying on purpose. It even includes a nice little weeding tool that helps pop out those pesky weeds. A great value and nice tools in a easy to carry package.

    Watch for sharp burrs
The set is very nice in concept. However nearly all the tools had sharp burrs along the edges, causeing them to present a cut hazard. This isn’t so much an issue with the digging tools like the spades, as the gritty dirt will eventually smooth out the edges, but for tools like the weed puller its a diffent story. Would of also liked to see a shoulder strap to make carrying easier, while freeing up both hands for orther tasks.

    Love it!
I think this is the best value deal I found this year. You get so many tools, the tools are also really durable and positively heavy. The bag is nice and holds them all, you get gloves, which are also very comfortable to wear with good grip on them. I used it for spring work and so far it held up great. I am happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

Nice Lightweight Assortment of Gardening tools – Good Starter Set for Patio/Container Gardening
Decent starter set of gardening tools would be useful for someone who is doing lightweight container gardening. The tools are attached to the handle by a metal ring that holds the tool to the handle. In my experience these don’t hold up to any serious digging or prying. The whole package comes in a nice box with a cute little card with a butterfly closure. Nicely packaged and nice assortment. Sprayer bottle, two kinds of rake/forks, weeding tool, pruners, shovel and bulb planting shovel.

This is the perfect gift for a new gardener.
This is the perfect gift for a new gardener. I got this recently from a friend that just bought a house with a yard. She has been living in apartments all her life so having a garden is exciting for her and this is a good starter kit. Comes with all you need to maintain what you have as well as support planting new things.

I’m very pleased with this tool set as it has everything I need for a variety of gardening tasks. The heavy-duty construction makes the tools feel solid & well-made, not flimsy like some other sets I’ve used. The rust-resistant coating is helpful given I wash these types of tools after each use & the ergonomic non-slip grips provide a comfortable & secure to hold when using them. In addition, the included quality storage bag keeps everything organised & is easy to carry.Highly recommended

  10. Plant crazy

As a many years long avid gardener, both inside and out, I have seen my fair share of gardening tools, both hand and full sized. And in this experience I have seen gift sets that when received, require, shall we say, a forced smile and thanks. Well, I am pleased to say that overall, that’s is not the case with this set. As this was presented as a gift set, I decided to video this as such, even though this is a gift from me to me!Starting off, the card stock weight item must be the described plant tags. Being paper, these are of questionable use to me, but this Is easily overlooked by the rest of this collection. The gloves are feeling like a men’s large and a nice quality of lightweight breathable knit with the fingers and palms dipped in a waterproof rubber which also provides a great grip. The tools are described as, a hand trowel, a transplant trowel, hand fork, hand soil cultivator, hand weeder, pruner, and spray bottle. Other than the pruner and spray bottle, all of these hand tools are of good to better quality, all with a wood handle and a sturdy, durable build. I think these will stand up well to the typical rigours of outdoor gardening. As for the spray bottle, it is a small spray bottle and as such will be staying inside for the plants there. The pruners are seemingly decent quality with sharp blades initially. A sharp new pair is always a welcomed item and I’ll see how long they stay sharp for. The tote is really nice. Roomy with many exterior pockets to hold all the tools received. The tote is a more rugged quality canvas, well sewn with the leather-like straps. This will be great to carry these tools in for the one section of my yard. This will allow me a grab and go set, with enough room remaining in the tote to hold bug spray, sunscreen, a hat, water bottle, phone and other needed items for routine garden chores.I am very pleased with this set! While I may not keep and use everything, like the cultivator and the fork, the weeding wand is my first with the pivot point addition to it. So I can’t wait to try this out in person. This is a set most any gardener or someone just getting into the hobby would love to receive. And I feel the asking price of $59.99 (at time of order) is a very reasonable price based on the hand tool quality alone.

This gives you all the garden tool essentials you need all in a nice canvas storage caddy which makes gardening easy and organized. The tools themselves are good, not sure how long they’ll hold up for but so far they’ve been great.I can also see this making a good gift, especially for someone living in a condo who maintains a small balcony garden.

  12. James Campbell

This set is a great way to keep our gardening tools together and organised. The bag has two side pockets and two big main pockets. So you can decide what goes where. The pattern is not necessarily my style, but, that does not affect the function. In fact, the bag being treated inside, means you can put moist/wet tools in there and not have to worry about the bag leaking. All the tools are a great starter. Things like the gloves, pruning shears etc you may choose to upgrade in the future.Overall, a fabulous product! Five stars from me.

  13. Suzy

Love this garden set it has all the variety of tools you might need for potting, weeding or pruning and the central part of the bag can either hold your water bottle, snacks and phone or a bag of potting mix, seeds etc. The range of tools included is extensive and the outside of the bag has pockets to hold them all neatly.
