    These seeds actually grew!
I thought I would try growing asparagus from seed not knowing what to expect! I planted each seed in its own seed starter as a single. Every single seed that I planted actually grew into a plant. Half of them I have transplanted into a larger container and the other half are still thriving in the original tray. I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to transplant them outside!

  3. ChrisD

    Asparagus seeds
Very good seeds. When we got them we started the growing process by the time we planted them they have a very good start. We can’t wait to have them come back this year to see how they do.

My experience might not be yours but proceed with caution.
Seeds did not germinate. Been a month in a seed pods. Nothing while my other seeds took off. I could have got a bad batch but I recommend just getting asparagus roots from tractor supply.

  7. Lee S

    M.W. asparagus seed
Only five germinated, but those few were doing very well here in high-elevation Arizona, until severe hail decimated them. Broke my heart. Will try them again next year.

  8. BJ Esarey

    Direct sowed
Direct sowed these into my garden a couple years ago and have a healthy asparagus patch now. Zone 6a. Seems disease and pest resistant and the deer haven’t bothered them.I need to thin out the crowns and expand the area and will have a great and productive asparagus patch.
