Product Description
4 Pack of Homyhoo Potato Grow Bags
Fabric grow bags are much better at controlling the temperature and water content of your growing medium than traditional plastic pots. In the cold, the fabric will keep your plant warmer, and in the hot sun your plant will be kept cooler, so it doesn’t overheat. (ps: fabric bags may need more frequent watering, it’s because of the porous material which is less likely to hold in excess water as the old plastic pot materials do.)
Planting Tips
1. Moisten the soil and compost mix thoroughly. Fill about 1/3 full (6″-8″ deep) with a 50/50 mixture of garden soil and compost.
2. Evenly space 3 to 5 seed potatoes and/or pieces (“eyes up” ) and cover with 3 inches of soil.
3. As the potatoes continue growing, continue adding soil/compost mix until you reach the top of the grow bag.
4. Water regularly. During hot and dry summer days, potato plants should be watered once every 2 to 3 days. During cooler days with rainfall, potatoes may not need watering at all.
5. Look for signs when the leaves start yellowing and the stems wilt. Then stop watering and wait a week or two. Potatoes are ready for harvesting when more than 50% of the leaves have turned yellow.
Air Pruning Function
Fabric grow bags help to alleviate the issue because as the roots meet the edges of the fabric pot, they sense the drier soil that is exposed to the air. At this point, they know they have reached their growth limit. The roots become “air pruned” which is vital to growing healthy plants in containers. You will also get many more fibrous roots when air pruned. A more fibrous root system (many small root tips) allows the plants to take in more nutrients and water.
Premium Material: Made of breathable double layer non-woven fabric, material is heavy duty felt, the bag ensures good ventilation to prevent excessive moisture, also provide more oxygen for your plants. The strong and biodegradable material can prolong the service life of the bags, at the same time cause no pollution.
Convenient Design: These potato growing bags come with large harvest window, through which you can check your plant and easily harvest veggies. These grow bags are made of sturdy material to ensure you may move around the bags filled with soil.
Large Capacity: These grow bags for growing potatoes with large capacity of 10 gallons allow to grow veggies as much as you want. Thanks to the large size, it will create a stable growing environment for veggies and flowers.
Easy to Move: The strong handles make them easy to move around as your needs. These grow bags are perfect to use at patios, gardens, balconies, sunrooms and any indoor/outdoor space. They can be used to grow potato, onions, taro, radish, carrots and other vegetables.
Easy to Store and Reuse: The bags can be easily fold up and won’t take up much space when storing. Easily move and flap the lid to harvest potatoes without much effort. Please put about 4 to 6 seeds in each bag. At the end of the growing season, you may empty the bags, simply clean them and store dry.

Tater maker
I put in potting soil and then put in potato starts and then put more potting soil. They are now popping out of the top like a plant should.

Best bags for growing sweet potatoes
The grow bags are very sturdy and hopefully after planting my sweet potato slips I’ll have a bountiful harvest. I plant my slips in approximately 4-6 inches of coco coir soil. As the slips grow I add straw around the plant. As it grows I continue adding the straw. Then come harvest time I have clean potatoes. The bags make a good home all through the growing season.Of course watering and a little kelp fertilizer helps.Thank you

Good quality
I just planted my first spuds. Good quality materials, should last a while. I thought the side port was going to be some sort of clear vinyl window for viewing, but itâs actually just a big access hole for harvesting. The access hole seals up nicely with the Velcro flap.Overall I like the quality and price. 5 stars

Donât trust the handles
I finally got to planting my potatoes. The handles on one of the bag broke lifting the first stage of dirt. There was about 6-7 inches of dirt. The same as the one next to it. Do not trust the handles.

Great for indoor planting
Very pleased with these strong and durable growing bags! I planted potatoes in these and in a month they are growing out the top! If using inside, I do recommend placing them in a container as the bottom does hold some moisture.

We used six of these to grow our potatoes this year. They worked very well and we had a good crop. When it came to harvesting we found the opening flap of very little use and had to tip the contents out of the bags. When trying to lift or move the bags for harvesting, all but one of the handles broke off and three of the bags simply fell apart. None were usable for another planting. The idea of the bags is good, but we need to find some of better quality.

I’ve used 3 of these bags for growing potatoes and my potatoes are flourishing so far. The harvesting will be the interesting part, whether I can use the velcro flap or not but it should allow me to check on how the potatoes are doing.Overall a very sturdy bag, with a good size.

What a fantastically easy way to grow potatoes. No more gardening preparation, no more having to hill your potatoes and best of all no digging to reap the rewards of your planting. All you have to do is find the sunny place around your yard, on your deck or like me on my patio. Cut your potatoes as usual, getting two eyes per piece at least, let them dry overnight to heal over the cut and get ready to plant them the next day. 3 inches of hay packed into the bottom of the containers place you potatoes in then put three more inches of hay on top water well and make sure it stays moist. Once the plants are about 2 1/2 to 3 inches out of the hay add another 3 inch layer. Continue this process until you are at the very top of the bag then just let the plant grow. Later in the summer, you can use the little flap on the side to easily get into the bag and collect some nice small young baby potatoes for yourself. After you put your plants have died off. Itâs very easy to dump the bag and collect your harvest. I am going to buy more bags for next year so I will have more potatoes. Just note that four of these bags will take approximately a quarter of a standard bale of straw.

Arrived in 24 days weekends included which is earlier than expected. However measurements are slightly smaller than advertised. Height of planter is about 16 inches tall instead of 17.8 inches, diameter is about 12inches & 13.5inches which means slightly oval instead of round. Otherwise material looks good, similar to another brand that I’ve bought. Should be strong enough for the purpose. However I thought there was a netting on the window that opens at the bottom but there’s not. I’m hoping earth would not fall out if I have to open to see if potatoes are growing in there which is the reason I got them for. We’ll see…..
