150 Years and Still Growing

Park Seed

One of America’s oldest and largest mail-order seed and plant companies, the Geo. W. Park Seed Company, was founded in 1868 by 15-year-old George W. Park in Libonia, Pennsylvania. Today our gardeners number in the millions, yet we still adhere to Mr. Park’s original motto. We may be connecting online through social media rather than handwritten letters, but the spirit and the result is the same: bringing the joys of gardening to as many people as possible.

Update. At least 12 trees growing
I got about 50 seeds. I soaked them in water for 24 hours. It’s really hard to manipulate the seeds. They are tiny! I just stuck a few in some containers and then poured the water with the rest of the seeds over the top of some soil. I sprinkled a little sand over too and misted with water daily. The ones in the little planters haven’t sprouted so I just dumped them into a big container of dirt I had sitting in my garage. The ones I just poured over the dirt and covered with sand grew within a week. I have 9 so far. I’m very happy because I really just dumped the seeds onto the dirt and they grew. I will transplant to a container and let th mature for a year or 2 and then put them in the ground. Easy peasy! Update… the seeds in the small containers weren’t sprouting so I dumped them in my soil I was using to put around established plants in my yard or fill in holes. The seeds sprouted SO FAST that I dumped the ones that were growing In the container onto the ground. I didn’t need to do all that work. I will let them grow and then transplant them to another area, making sure to protect them in the winter. Very happy with the results!!

Disappointed not a one grew… So sad
Not a single seed grew. 100% went by instructions, all I’ve ended up with is the dirt in a carton box. Zero smell, zero size, 100% disappointing. All seeds were dead before transplanting. Now to send the dirt back for a refund. Sadly I wanted so badly for these to grow. I was absolutely devastated at nothing growing. Had planned to plant along my back wall. Disappointing…

    nice seedlings so far

    Not one eucalyptus sprouted
I kept them cold for weeks prior to seeding. Planted the whole lot, not one sprouted.

    Do research first
    Plants didn’t last long

Use a dome and seeding mat
I bought these seeds after reading some bad reviews, thinking I would try it anyway. I planted several seeds in one 2-inch pot using just 3 pots. I placed the pots on a seedling mat and covered them with a humidity dome. My seeds are germinating like crazy. I now wish I had spread them out more. I recommend using a seedling mat and a dome to keep in the warmth and humidity.

    Fast growing
Followed instructions and it sprouted after a few days. Location sw florida
