Organic Snap Pea Seeds (Sugar Daddy) – Approx 75 Seeds – USDA Organic, Non-GMO, Open Pollinated, Heirloom, USA Origin
$6.99
Sugar Daddy Snap Peas are truly stringless with fertile, bushy vines. They’ll thrive in temperatures as low as 45° F, so plant in early spring as soon as the ground has drained and can be worked (usually 3-4 weeks before the last frost date), or in late summer as a fall crop. Cover with an inch of soil and water regularly, at the base of the plant to avoid mildew. Harvest when peas are plump (but not bursting) and 3 inch pods are juicy, crisp and sweet. Use immediately or freeze to preserve sweetness for later.
Pisum Sativum: These finest quality, non-GMO, USDA Organic Snap Pea seeds produce bushy vines with “dwarf pods” that are sweet, crisp, and delicious. There’s no need to shell or destring them either, just pick and enjoy!
Benefits of Trellising: Sugar Daddy Snap Peas grow in bushy vines so a trellis is not needed; but all peas like a bit of support and a trellis, or fencing, will make the peas easier to spot at harvest.
Freshly Packed: These seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.
Certified Organic: All Purely Organic Seeds are open pollinated, non-GMO (not genetically modified), heirloom, organic seeds. Each Purely Organic Seed Packet carries the USDA Organic Seal signifying that is has passed rigorous standards and been certified organic by a USDA Accredited agency.
Premium Packaging: All seeds from Purely Organic Products are packaged in individually styled packets ideal for gifts, storage or immediate use. Each packet displays the plant variety on the front with instructions and plant facts on the back.

Easy To Grow, And Delicious
Being a lifelong non-gardener, I was pleased at how easily these peas grew! I’m doing no in-ground planting, just various pots ‘n planters, and have had good luck with all of ’em. The plants quickly get out of hand if you don’t cut ’em back, but I’m told that typical of pea plants. Oh, and the peas are delicious!

Beautiful crop!
I have been growing Sugar Snap Peas for years in North Florida from early November through April. After years of seed saving from my own crops, last year’s were not sprouting as well as usual. I decided to “treat myself” to some new organic seeds, and I am soooo glad I did! These seeds produced a very hardy crop of delicious organic peas. We had so many peas this year that I actually had to freeze some (which I learned I should blanch first next time).I look forward to planting this year’s crop in my raised garden bed later this year and expect similar great results.Thank you for some great organic seeds! 🙂

Inconsistent peas
Grew fine, some eat well others are very fibrous and almost inedible.Perhaps I received bad batch seeds that cross pollinated, i dunno. Buying new seeds for next pea patch and will toss these.

ZERO GERMINATION! HIGHLY UNUSUAL! Won’t be buying anything from this seed vendor again!
I have been gardening for over 35 years. I also have super germination methods. And excellent soil. Etc. Etc. And, I am even so knowledgeable and experienced in sprouting seeds that I have taught classes on how to grow sprouts and microgreens. I KNOW how to germinate seeds!I gave these seeds the usual, royal treatment. Soaked in water overnight with a couple of drops of food grade hydrogen peroxide, drained, then planted at the perfect depth in brand new, very high quality soil. I grow all types of plants, from fruits to veggies to herbs to flowers. I have superb germination rates across the board. However, even with the royal treatment, NONE of these came up! Not a single ONE! And the price was high to boot! The only explanation I can come up with would be the storage of the seeds by the vendor prior to selling and shipping them. If a seed vendor does not keep their seeds in airtight containers in a refrigerated environment, their shelf life can be drastically shortened, and they can eventually become unviable.I have no idea what this vendor’s storage methods are, but in any case, this package of seeds was utterly useless and in my opinion the seeds were in fact BAD. When you don’t get ANY germination, which is super rare, there is very likely a serious storage issue to blame.A quick example for comparison – Two years ago I ordered what was supposed to be a packet of 4,000 cosmos sees from an ebay vendor. The package I received contained no more than about 5 or 6 hundred seeds, not 4,000, Oh well, 500-600 would still be a lot of cosmos, right? Wrong. I planted that entire packet in excellent soil, along with some good seeds of other varieties from different vendors. Guess how many cosmos came up? 7. That’s right. Seven. Out of “4,000” seeds, which was actually 500 plus seeds, SEVEN stupid cosmos came up. The ONLY explanation would be the age and general condition of the seeds. And guess how many of the other varieties from good vendors came up in the same garden, planted at the same time as the cosmos seeds? Literally thousands! I had to thin them out half a dozen times! Here’s the thing: Even with the VERY WORST quality seeds I have EVER bought (the “4,000” cosmos seeds) I still got 7 that came up! These seeds must have been sitting on a shelf, unrefrigerated and probably not even sealed properly, for YEARS. And yet I still got SOME GERMINATION.With these lame snap pea seeds I got ZERO. I know it’s only a small packet, but I should still have gotten some to germinate. At least a few. But I got ZERO. Indicating very strongly that these seeds were DEAD and UNVIABLE before they even got shoved into the envelope to ship them to me.

Great germination rate
Planted in Oct in zone 10 S.California and every see d germinated. I over seeded and had to pull 50% unfortunately they didnât transplant well but that could be on me. Iâve picked a few and they are very tasty but they are not stringless.

Super easy and fun to grow-A delight for our four year old to watch
The organic snap peas started to grow within 2 days of planting and have been a delight for our little guy to watch. We all have been happy with the progress. Its been several weeks now and they are growing tall and have extended their vine arms to reach out. We have an indoor growing trellis and these were said to be great for indoor growing. So far, it has been a lot of fun and we look forward to seeing how they do.
