Let there be light
I ordered these to use in our outdoor picnic/party area for an upcoming oyster roast. In the past Iâd spend hours setting up and taking down temporary lighting but this year I chose to use these lights. I was already using the same lights on my pool deck and we love them. Not only do they look good but they provide adequate lighting without taking away from the ambience of being outside. I did find that some of the lights didnât come on at first and I had to get the ladder out and turn them in a little bit tighter. Being water tight and new, they needed a minor adjustment. Now the area is not just for parties and we can enjoyed the area even more with permanent lighting.

Returned. Not the right lights for my application
I wanted a string of lights to go around my pool fence. I expected to keep these because I liked the 3 color option and the fact it came with a dimmer. I didn’t like 2 of the 3 colors and would never use them (white and bright white). The 3rd, a more yellow color wasn’t soft enough. They also didn’t dim enough. Another thing I didn’t like was the cord. Very heavy duty, like what you would have on a PC power cord. Normally that would be a plus but that was too much cord to attempt to tie along the top of my fence, I would have had to use a lot more zip ties. These lights are 5 watt lights so I decided to go with the 1 watt ones.I had to buy a dimmer for the 1 watt lights but the win for that was it came with a dusk-to-dawn sensor. The cords on the 1 watt were not so heavy duty which was perfect for my application. They have been up for a week now and look great. The dimmer remembers the dimness level so when they come on at night the brightness is set where I left it.If you want to leave your lights up all winter, or want to string them up criss-cross across a patio, then I think these lights would be good for that. They were just too heavy and bright for my application. Even though my dimmer didn’t come with a remote, the dusk to dawn sensor is well worth it. I changed the brightness when the party ended and we cleaned up a little, then I reduced them back to minimum and haven’t touched them since so I think I would rather have the manual adjustment with the dusk to dawn sensor rather than the remote. Nice quality and light output
So far so good. I would suggest you plug them in while installing the bulbs, some you really have to tighten, almost where you would think the bulb would break. Some turn on with minimal pressure but keep tightening them. Otherwise they will not light after a few days.Overall very happy. Bulbs are 36â on center.Did I mention tighten the bulbs when screwing in?

No, you can’t add on to your existing string.
These string lights have been great, but now as we expanded our patio layout I can’t just buy one more string to add onto our existing light…nope! The connector has been changed at the end of the loop. I’m not spending triple the amount necessary just because they changed a connector and I can’t simply add on to the same brand, same model as Amazon said we purchased a couple years ago. Typical disappointing overpriced junk on Amazon.
