Backyard Vibes Just Got Classier
I picked up this citronella candle set mainly because I wanted to pretend Iâm the type of person who has it together enough to host a mosquito-free summer hangout. Spoiler: Iâm not, but these candles definitely help with the illusion. They come in these amber jars that actually look kinda fancy, like something you’d see in a boutique shop instead of on my patio table next to a half-eaten bag of chips. The scent is solidâcitronella meets lemongrass with a minty twistâand not that harsh, fake bug spray smell you sometimes get. Itâs more âspa dayâ and less âcampground chemical warfare.âBurn time is great too. I lit one during a sunset Netflix-and-bug-bite session and hours later, it was still going strong without tunneling or making that sad, uneven wax crater. Plus, you get four in a pack, which means I can keep one in the garage, one on the porch, and still have backups when I inevitably forget where I put the others. Overall, these little guys punch above their weight. A solid pickup if you want to keep the bugs at bay without sacrificing your porchâs aesthetic.

Fancy Outdoor Candles
So I am going to call these pretty “fancy” for outdoor bug repellent candles. I mean, there are four that come in a nice gift box and they are attractive looking like scented indoor candles. They smell nice, probably a step up from typical outdoor, camping candles. We have a small fishing camp and our kids have several hunting, and kayaking events there during the summer. It’s kind of my wife’s “thing” to be hostess for their big outings (sometimes there are dozens of people who show up for the events) and I turned the candle set over to her. She loves them and will be using them at the camp at the upcoming “float trip” there later this month. I think the current price, at almost $30 for the box set is reasonable, but if these would go on sale for a bit less, then they would really be easy to recommend.

Burns clean and smells great
Lighting this candle quickly fills the room with a sweet citrus smell and we love it. You can definitely smell the essential oils and we’ve even taken it outside to see if the citronella repels mosquitos and it did (for the most part, I was still bitten under the table on my legs ). I appreciate the double wick so you don’t end up with deep holes as the candle only wants to burn in the center, it burns much more evenly with two wicks. The label and the candle itself are aesthetically pleasing and look to be of high quality. I haven’t been timing anything, but it seems to be burning at about the same rate of similarly priced candles so I have no complaints. Overall, I love the scent, functionality (bye bye mosquitos), and look of these candles and would consider them to be a great value.

Lemongrass citronella candle. The product arrived in a timely matter. It is 7 ounces. I snipped the wick prior to lighting the candle. I was able to try it today in my work office. The scent is very light. The candle appears to be well-made and looks very nice and decorative however I was expecting the scent to be a little bit stronger and longer lasting. I have a few little fruit flies and gnats hanging around in my office and I was hoping that this would keep them away.Compared to other citronella candles Iâve tried in the past I do not think that the scent on this is as strong as I would want it to be. This could also be because Iâm used to buying candles that have a stronger scent. If you donât like a very strong scent , then this could be ideal for you. This could also be ideal for burning around people that are in your household that have a sensitivity to strong fragrances .For me personally I like a stronger scented candle. Lemongrass is also not an overpowering scent to begin with.Iâm keeping this at work on my desk and it does look really cute and came well packaged. I can only give it three stars because I did not find the fragrance to be as potent or long lasting as I wanted it to be. Donât let this deter you though I know a lot of people that donât like a strong scented candle so this could be for you if thatâs what your preference is for candles. We are all different and we all have different preferences for fragrances. Because of this I would recommend it. My rating is based on my preferences. I did let this burn for a few hours and the wax lasted and did not burn up and I have plenty of candle left to keep burning so thatâs also a plus.

Quality Soy Citronella Candles without that yucky smell
These candles are high quality, and I especially like that they are soy. I was hesitant to get citronella candles because I normally don’t like the smell, but these have a pleasant lemongrass smell.I always cut the wicks of my candles before lighting them to help keep the flame down, and it also helps the candle last longer. These are single-wick, not double-wick (I prefer single wicks), and I like that they “class up” my time while out on the deck. Since I have four, I will probably take one with me when I have outdoor functions at friends’ houses.I love amber glass, so I am glad these come in a nice amber/brown glass container. Once a candle finally gets through its long hours of use, I can reuse the jars.
