The 10′ x 10′ pergola was easy to assemble and the instructtions great. There were some minor issues, but the customer support I received from Berlla was superb. Bella took the time to follow through on the feew issuews I had with assembly. It was a great experience.

Beautiful addition to our yard!
My fairly handy husband put this together all by himself over about 2 days. He said it was pretty straightforward except the top most slats do not come with any guides or pilot holes for installation and that was very poky. We had 2 boards that were damaged and also appeared not to be appropriate for our kit. We were able to obtain new boards within a few days by reporting the appropriate part numbers to the company. My husband attempted to pretreat the boards with waterproofing before installation but that didn’t work well for various reasons so now it still needs waterproofing. We have a pretty small city yard and the 10×10 size is great for our space.Another comment about the delivery process. It comes in 2 long large heavy boxes. Choosing a delivery time for your order is apparently meaningless. The pergola did arrive on the date I expected, however I chose an afternoon delivery time because I had an online meeting all morning. Thankfully I was at home. They called at about 8am to say they were on the way. I said don’t come until the afternoon as requested. I was told all I could do was reschedule to another day and I could not expect them to deliver during the time I had specified with my order. They had no response when I asked why buyers could choose a delivery time window if this was meaningless?? The delivery guys themselves were great. Just not the delivery process.Overall, we are really happy with our new pergola that I had wanted forever. We can’t wait to create our garden space with this as a centerpiece!

Perfect! Everything was put together without a hitch. Every thing fit perfectly. All the parts were there, Took 3 of us 6 hours. Now it’s time to add furniture, plants, and a swing my wife wants. This is going to look sweet.

We ordered a couple of these & were very happy with the item. So who ordered another one. It takes at least 3-4 people to put together. The boxes are very heavy, & time consuming to organize if you are not used to putting things like this together. My husband & son put them together & took them about 5 days. Had they had a 3rd or 4th person would have been much easier, & quicker. We decided to add metal roofing for shade, & protection which we ordered from our local metal shop. We also added blinds for when the sun hits at peak hours. Family & friends have commented on how nice they are. Would give a 4.5 rating but that is not an option. This only because the last Pergola we ordered had a couple of boards that were not even. The unit was still workable without having to drill new wholes though. This product is defiantly worth the money : ) & time. Love these!

This is a beautiful and sturdy pergola…so glad I took the plunge on it. It took 3 people 6 hours to build it. But it ALSO took me 2 part-time days just unpacking and sorting all the pieces and applying wood sealant. The wood sealing WAS time consuming. Knowing what sealant to use was confusing for a newbie, and the company doesn’t give any recommendations as they say it depends on your climate. First I tried a paint-on spar urethane product that the hardware store recommended (we live in the SF Bay Area). But it took hours just to coat one side of all the pieces. So I switched to Olympic Waterguard clear exterior spray and wish I had started with that. So DO plan for 1-2 days of prep before building. I had a few questions for the company and, wow, they are open every day and pick up the phones! They even planned to FedEx us what I thought was a missing part, until I realized I had the part. Great experience overall! Very reasonable price for such a solid, beautiful piece if you’re willing to put in a little sweat equity!!

First review in UK, whoop whoop.Overall the Pergola is fantastic thus far. I bought it about two months ago and it has been fab to have over the summer, even without as many super sunny days this year.pros:1) Was easy to build overall, and took me and my wife about 7 ish hours which I think is reasonable. I started this alone as my wife took our son out to see friends but I quickly got to a point that this is definitely a two person job, at the very least. I started using the BILT app but this can be annoying and I soon just used the paper instructions provided as these were good enough. Some have said about the nuts and bolts being a little too short or without room for error and I think that is understandable, especially for the bolts for the top of the main leg posts leave not much room for error. But the benefit is a neat finish after construction and in the end all went in as directed.2) colour and style is exactly as shown and I love the smell of the wood, which is much nicer than pine etc3) size and coverage – it is large!!!! so shade is a plenty.4) strong and sturdy – hope it stays so during windy uk autumn and winter5) has enabled me to go out and buy loads more solar garden lights which I m delighted by.Cons:1) some minor chips or grazes in wood from transport or production, but covered most up using colour pen thing provided in box2) design of feet for posts was good and neat but a bit tricky as u need to screw in floor first then put pergola on top once constructed and believe me I can just about move this once built. But more competent DIYers would be fine. I am towards the very bottom of that scale.Other points to note:1) The leg post donât seem solid, I suspect are foam filled.2) delivery was perfect but my wife took collection and then warned me the two boxes this comes in are far to large and heavy to move. And after a few attempts I concluded she was indeed correct, so will need to unpack and move the wood in smaller chunks.Will update in a few months if any issues, but this far a solid buy and I would recommend to friends and family.Happy building!
