Couldn’t be happier — keeps me dry in cold water
I hardly ever write reviews but i’m tickled with this find so i have to! I’m a floaty connoisseur. Have a huge collection for all sorts of purposes. LOVE floating on the ocean, but I live in NH where the ocean water never gets above 70F and for most of summer it is well below that. This floaty is my solution!! Finally one that is thick and wide enough to avoid getting wet entirely. I’m 5’4″ and 132 lbs and even when mounting it, it’s stable enough that the top (and my butt) don’t get wet. Seriously, it might be stable enough to use as a SUP if you had good balance, it’s THAT sturdy. I think someone who is much taller than me and even 50 lbs heavier would still experience it as this stable (but i’m sure it can accommodate even larger people). Feels like i’m on a mattress out there! I LOVE the air valve — takes no longer to blow up (despite being bigger and thicker) than smaller/thinner floats that use a smaller pump value because of the resistance. filled it with my hand pump easily within 5 min. And letting the air out is a dream because of the huge valve opening, which makes toting it back and forth in my car to the beach easy. Lastly, with the style i used to use for this purpose (Intex Suntanner 18 pocket — the thickest i could find up till now), i would go through 4 per season because they would inevitably spring a leak (in fairness, probably because of the strain from the anchor situation — see below). I’ve only used this one once so far but it is SO much higher quality/heavier plastic. Oh! one more thing! LOVE the soft velvety coating on the top — sand brushes off it easier than the plastic kind. this one is my new go-to! (Hint: if you love floating as much as I do, try using a long rope to lasso the float and put the rope mid-float under your butt. tie a 5lb weight to the end of it. that way you don’t have to worry about tide or wind taking you away, just make sure it is long enough for the anchor to sit in the sand and you are beyond where waves are breaking. I take the most delightful naps this way! People who watch me are so jealous and often ask how it is that i don’t float away — they’ve told me a should patent my “anchor”! the float does have a rope hook on the side, which would be cool if you were trying to tie to a dock on a lake, but i would also worry that it would put too much strain on the side of the float and have me spinning in circles.) Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!! Thank you Airhead!!!

    very nice
I love this raft. I lay on it in our pool to sunbathe. It is very comfortable. love the material. It is made of good quality material. We leave it out all the time, in the Florida weather/sun, blowen up and it is still up after most a year. I would recommend this raft.

The pool float I’ve been looking for everywhere
It was here on Amazon the whole time but for some reason remained hidden while I searched and searched and bought numerous other floats/rafts that were total junk. I even queried online forums in my quest for one that would last at least one season only to find that I was not alone in looking.Thank goodness for Airhead who realized there was a market for something between disposable pool floats and towable tubes – the latter of which I almost bought out of desperation for something that wouldn’t leak after one or two uses. This float is the perfect weight, size and ruggedness. It’s thick enough to lounge on the water without getting wet and to do so in supreme comfort. The “suede” finish, cupholder and rope holder are nice extras but what really makes this item stand out is the durable material it’s made with.

    Comfortable
It comfortable, and nice & long. The “suede” surface makes it difficult to move around (turn over) because it’s not slippery at all.

    Cadillac of rafts!
Has a nice soft touch with the sueded side, also helps you not slip off! I love this raft cause its high profile enough to keep you out of the water which can be chilly in MN! This is my 2nd one , and love them!

I love this brand of pool float the quality is great and the velvety top is nice so you don’t stick to the float.

    Float in Comfort!
This is a very nice pool float. I have used it for the past week or so and it is holding up nicely. The soft side is so comfortable and there is no sliding off even when I’m well oiled for tanning. It is wide and level so it’s not easy to tip over. I am able to turn on my side or completely over on the float without falling off. When fully inflated it keeps me out of the water, which is great since the season has just started and the water is still a bit chilly. The air outlet is huge allowing for quick deflation. The red air inlet is nicely designed letting air in and it can be closed without losing any air. You could manually blow up this float, but it would take a long time. A motorized air pump would be ideal. I already owned a battery operated quick pump that I used to blow up the float. The air button pushed easily into the float & out of the way. The float does not come with a rope, but there are loops for one. It does come with a repair patch in case you need it. It also has bottle holder which is a nice little feature. This is a good quality float for the price. I recommend it!

    loses air 😫
WILL NOT HOLD AIR! SECOND FLOAT THAT FAILED.I loved this float . I have others, and they have a head rest that is so uncomfortable….when I need a head rest with this, I just roll up a towel. The fuzzy top is really nice because you don’t stick to it. It looked as if it stained after it had been in the pool….water marks…but I hosed it off, and it looked great again. My complaint is……it loses air 😥…EVERY day it needs to be inflated, and it lasts a couple hours then is too low to use.7/28. Editing my review. There is a 1 year warranty On this product ( this is the second one that lost air). Garbage. . I contacted the mfg and they asked for photos. I sent them. They then asked for proof of purchase, ..I sent that. Now, their third contact with me, they want me to tell them exactly where it’s leaking. It does not have a “ puncture hole” so I can’t find the slow leak. They state that if I don’t tell them exactly where the leak is they can’t warranty the product.I feel this is terrible customer service. It’s a $35 float,….we aren’t discussing an expensive item.I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING from this mfg again. Terrible customer service.

We have used these 3 weeks daily now and they work excellent. We are both over 200 pounds and felt very held, air holds great, room to spread out, length great. We’d only want to buy these again. Love them and nice bright colour. Velvet top doesn’t stick but us smoothe to skin. Wonderful floats.

This pool raft is exactly as shown, it is awesome, way above water, so you do not get wet while suntanning, highly recommended, except I tried to order 2 more, for a family member and they are no longer available… my neighbour also wanted to order some, but couldn t…my advice is to order in Feb or March, to make sure you get them, before they sell out.

I don’t like the feel of the fuzzy side, but you don’t stick. My last one lasted only two years but that’s because I forgot to deflate and put away for the winter. Solid and fabulous.

Easy to blow up and deflate

Good quality floatable mattresses for use in a lake are very hard to find. Found this one by chance last August the in a store in a small lakeside town. Used it a lot. Good quality. Just the right width for one and high enough to keep me dry yet still paddle around. Wanted to get one for my husband so glad I found it online. Is expensive but is of good quality and should last more than one season. A small pillow would be a nice addition but otherwise still happy with it considering there was nothing else available that was worthwhile.
