Review on mounting to a deck
I bought this for my small 8 by 10 deck, and am writing this to hopefully help someone else who wants to mount it to a deck. I posted a pic of how we mounted it as a visual. We added two small pieces of wood to make it flush against the deck post and used four long bolts. The bottom of that post is on there solid!. The description of the pole being 1.5 inches is wrong- they are a thicker diameter than that!! We bought the clamps going off that measurement, and made them work, but bigger ones would have been better. Definitely measure before you buy. We didnât end up needing the big crossbar at all – we didnât even need to screw it into the bottom of the deck as you can see in the pic. Itâs solid this way. I am a little concerned about the sturdiness of the actual umbrella (above the part that is mounted), so we wonât be using it on really breezy daysThose who say the umbrella rotates, definitely check that the two pieces in the bottom pole are screwed in pretty tight. I love that it has the ability to turn as needed,, but If those arenât tight, it could take off in the wind. That was a mistake I made when I first set it up and the wind rotated the whole umbrella.Overall, we love it, but weâve only had it a day. I will update if it doesnât last. Itâs a very reasonable price in comparison to everything else weâve looked at.Note: We also use a small bungee cord to hold the closed umbrella in place. This helps weight that a bit so it doesnât flap around so much.

You need to secure it!
Fast shipping, vibrant color, easy assembly, NOT SECURE. You need the weighted base or to secure this the deck/ground. There is no way this thing will withstand any kind of wind. It barely stands, with the sand bag, opened. Also, another downside is that it doesn’t turn, like the arm doesnt turn so you cant swing it to provide shade to the left or right as the sun moves. So since this needs to be secured and it doesn’t swing your kind of locked into where it provides shade. All that being said, I still love it and Im not disappointed in the item.

This umbrella seems to be much better quality for how low the price is compared to some I have seen. Just be sure you have sand bags to weigh it down or a deck or sturdy platform to screw it to. It comes with a wide base and massive screws to hold it down. Very nice!The only thing that is wrong is 2 small holes in the fabric. Looks like something small and hot touched the fabric and burned a hole through it. Very noticeable, especially when the sun shines through. I do not appreciate that the only option is to return the whole umbrella after assembling it and hauling it down to ship it back. I wish there was an option to get some money discounted or receive something in return. It works perfectly fine. It’s just slightly damaged. Not worth the hassle.Overall it’s a very nice umbrella. The color I got is also very pleasant. Thanks for making good quality for an affordable price. Will see how long it lasts. I’ll repost if it holds up because I’ll want to get a second one if it does.

Excellent Purchase Very Pleased with this Umbrella
I just received this evening. I got the orange color. Haven’t used for any time; so will revise if necessary. First of all, any one, just any one who said this umbrella is junk, doesn’t know junk. It’s solid, powder coated and very nice looking. Everything needed to anchor is provided except the sand/rocks. It’s the sturdiest base, I’ve ever purchased. Strings break, no matter the cost of the umbrella, you have to use finesse. Handles just don’t snap off just like some of those photos, without forcing something that shouldn’t be forced. Of course there can be an occasional lemon, manage your expectations.I used step stones, because that’s what was handy to anchor. I put solar lights underneath, and it illuminates a large area of yard as opposed to same light without umbrella. All umbrellas fade, seriously to ding a vendor due to fading. If this toppled over, I would say it was not properly weighted or set-up, or left open in too windy of conditions. This is ten feet of fabric like a parachute, and one expects it not to take off in wind? The size and style cannot withstand the same type of elements of a normal umbrella. Use common sense. Lastly what on earth does anyone expect for less than 150? Will purchase again, even if it lasts only one season. It’s too dark now to snap photo, will revise. I am 70, so have purchased many patio products in my time, I am not disappointed in the least.

Damaged right out the box
Assembled the base first and as soon as we removed the umbrella from the packaging we noticed 2 holes in the fabric. Really donât want to have to disassemble it to return it. Hoping the seller will see this review and contact me to replace just the umbrella as I didnât see an option to contact them directly.Otherwise seems like a nice, sturdy umbrella but time will tell.

Beautiful colored and sturdy umbrella
I bought this patio umbrella to replace an old one that had been damaged in a storm. We also thought to have a triangle shade but didn’t have proper fittings on the roof. I was looking for something that was sturdy and would stand up to high winds, and this umbrella fit the bill. It looks to be made of high-quality materials and construction.It does need a way to anchor it to the ground and it has holes for spikes to be used to secure it, but I have chosen to use an umbrella base as I had a concrete patio.It also has a tilt mechanism that allows you to adjust the angle of the canopy to block out the sun. The umbrella is also easy to open and close, and it comes with a carrying case for easy storage.

Check your product before assembling
The umbrella itself is perfectly serviceable but two main caveats:1. When you receive it make sure to check that you received the correct product. We ordered the model with LED lights and received one without LEDs. At the point we had put everything together it was too late to return since it was already assembled. I hope to hear from the manufacturer for a refund since Amazon only gives me the option to return.2. The umbrella does NOT come with weights. You have to make a trip to the hardware store for sand.

Large frilled parasol, lovely colour, came with canvas bag to fill with sand to use as a weight.I used 40k sand to fill it slots pole base Easy to assemble, it is a large parasol to handle but I managed it by myself. Overall very pleased, good product, good value shaded the whole table and I was able to adjust it according to the Sun
