Five stars for short people!
Overall this is a good basic umbrella. Canopy is a thin nylon material, not heavy canvas, but it does the job as well as a pricier umbrella. The 9′ diameter is REALLY ice, extending the shade and rain protection further over the seats than the 8′. I know that technically it is not a big difference but it feels like it.But the best feature is…drum roll…I can reach the crank without straining! I am 5’3″ and accustomed to having to go up on tiptoe and lean against the table edge to barely be able to crank my umbrella. All the ones I have owned have been like that. But in this one the crank is low enough on the pole that it is an easy reach. What a nice change! I imagine if you have kids this would be nice as well, as they would have an easier time reaching it. What a great design feature! Five stars for that alone!

9â patio table umbrella
This is a well built standard 9â patio table umbrella. Itâs big and seems sturdy, but is fairly lightweight and easy to handle. The crank mechanism works well and thereâs a velcro tether to keep it from flapping in the wind. The top wind vent is an absolute must have to keep it from sailing when it gets gusty. A nice piece for the very modest price.

Good quality
The quality on this umbrella is well worth the price. The top is thicker & more like a tarp . The raising mechanism is secured with a pin instead of the crank. Which keeps it open in breezes.

BEWARE TALL PEOPLE: this is only 92â tall
Could poke an eye out!If youâre tall, you might have an issue with this item.Itâs a beautiful umbrella, meant to replace and coexist with my many other umbrellas. However, it is SHORT in comparisonââa full 2 INCHES SHORTER than all my other umbrellas. If youâre tall? Someone who didnât notice this one is shorter could poke them self in the head (or eye!) with one of the canopy spines when itâs in the open position. Not worth the risk!!!One other issue is that the âbelly buttonâ spring piece is on bottom of the top pole, (under the crank handle), and not the top of the bottom pole like other manufacturers do.

Durable frame, Tilt, adjustable heights, good price
Historically the frame lasts a really long time but, for me, the fabric lasts maybe 2 to 3 years. Results may vary… The one I am replacing is 3 years old. No frame damage but it blew over & the fabric tore on a rose bush. Thats not wear/tear.The umbrealla is out by pool, on conctete, heat in Summer is 100+ & sometimes there is a bit of wind. . I could buy replacement fabric but the whole thing is just as much.I needed the Tilt feature to block the neighbors view of a tiny eyesore of mine . I guess I am a sweetheart for my concern, but I still don’t like those neighbors very much.

WELL BUILT & BEAUTIFUL
We purchased two of these for our back patio and are very pleased with them. They seem to be well built and the color is beautiful. These replaced two that we had, so we already had the bases for them which are needed.
