Great product and value! Cannot wait for the flowers!
SOOOO EASY TO GROW!!!#1 The seeds are already scored to expose the inner core. Those shells are rock hard, can’t imagine trying to do that myself! My only ding is the product comes with zero instructions, but these days with AI, youtube, google etc it’s not hard to research what to do.I only had 1 seed not germinate so that’s really great odds! I also per google search changed water daily and kept water temp between 70 and 90 degrees at all times! Was a little OCD about it and had a meat thermometer in the water.Since they sprouted I’ve been using and indoor grow light to make sure they get their minimum 6 hours of sun a day.Weather here has been unreasonably cloudy and rainy more often than not.I have an extra large barrel that I will put in my garden with the proper lotus soil ( also amazon purchase)Really excited that my $8 experiment purchase worked out way better than expected! Was a little dubious when I read the negative reviews!!Pay attention to the details… don’t just toss them into cold water and check on them in couple weeks!Great value for money!

Horrible, horrible horrible product
I gave one star only because I couldnât do zero stars. This is the most horrific thing I ever bought on this website. Amazon should stop selling this crap. Nothing open nothing bloomed. A few shoots came out. I Put them in water like youâre supposed to soak them. All it did was smell up the house finally when they started to sprout a little bit I put them in soil and they all died. Donât waste your time or your money with these.

They are cute. Worth the try.
If you like plants but want something easy to take care of. Get these. They are interesting. I canât wait for them to continue growing. They are only 2 weeks old (give them time, some came out in a couple days, some took a week to start, so donât throw any seeds away) they like sun. I change their water every 1-2 days. They are fragile so I just pour the old water out and fill it up with little bit warmer than cold water and leave them by window. My first one started to open leaves just today. It says there is 30pcs in pack. There were 41 in the package Iâve got and 25 are growing fast and healthy. Which is a really good ratio. Donât know colors yet. None of them started to rot. They were inexpensive and they are already cute. I love to watch them grow daily.

Requires lots of patience
Love the idea of this product. I finally got it to work but it took months for the plants to grow and several attempts. We did this as a group project with several of us trying. I was the only one who’s able to get the plant to grow after planting it several times.

When do they flower?
When did they bloom? Mine grew spouts quickly but now have been like this for a while and not sure what to do for them?

Highly impressed
I was honestly a little worried about buying these because of all of the reviews saying not many of these seeds have sprouted. That is clearly not the case for me. I counted when I got the seeds and received a total of 39 in my order. The add says 30 so the extra seeds are a bonus in my book. Especially considering these are some of the less expensive Lotus Seeds on Amazon, it is a deal for sure.Anyway, of those 39 seeds: 30 have already begun to grow, 3 had to be thrown away due to going bad (moldy), and 6 have not begun to grow yet… they are in another cup with water and I’m waiting to see if they do anything. I am hopeful the 6 seeds will grow and do something because, as you can see, they are not all sprouting and growing at the same speed. Hopefully the 6 are just late bloomers and can join my other seeds soon.I did watch a couple different videos on YouTube and read a few articles about Lotus seeds so I could learn the best practices for getting these to grow and attribute that extra work in how well these seeds are doing. Main things I learned that should help anyone wanting to get these.1. When you first get the seeds one end has been sanded down a little already. Sand them down just a tiny bit more to get a little white showing. This makes it easier for the seed to sprout as the seeds start dry and have to fully hydrate before anything can happen. Roughing them up a little exposes the living portion of the seed so the water can reach it easier.2. You need to change the water daily. Everything I read and watch was repeating this multiple times because it is so important. The water needs to be room temperature, don’t make it hot or cold. The new water should be as close to the same temp as the old water as possible before adding it to the seeds.3. Partial sunlight not indirect or full sunlight. If you have a window that let’s some sun in for a few hours use that one.4. Be patient, sometimes it may look like the seeds aren’t going to sprout but it can take more time than advertised on here. That is okay. Don’t quit and don’t give up on your seeds.I am so pleased with how well these seeds are growing and can’t wait to give them out as the gifts I intended them to be, and keep a few for my home as well. I will, hopefully, remember to update once the plants begin to bloom so you can see the variety and how they are looking and doing.

Good Seeds, Great Value, Return Buyer
Had a great germination rate and several sprouted lily pads and were growing very well. Unfortunately, the crawfish in the system got a taste for them and ate them up. I’m ordering again!
