Modern & Easy to Install – but use the provided bracket
After living in a new house for a year with the most dreadful entry lamp, I finally purchased this because I figured anything was better than what I had. Initially hesitant because I have never installed a light fixture, I couldnât believe how easy it was to set up! Paying attention to my existing fixture wires, I was able to take it apart and attach this one. It wouldâve been a 5 minute switch but I tried to use my existing bracket which turned out to have the screws stick out too far, so I had to uninstall and switch the brackets. If you try to use an existing light bracket, check to make sure the mounting screws arenât too long before attaching the wires. After using the correct bracket and connecting the wires, the caps for the screws to hold the fixture in place had very little screw to grip, but with pressure I was able to get enough traction to attach them and secure the fixture. Itâs secure, beautiful and completely changes the space in the best way possible! I used an âantiqueâ lightbulb from Loweâs. My only complaint is the silver sticker on the light bulb holder- I covered it up with some black electrical tap and voila! Looks way more expensive than it was! Would buy another if I had the need.

Good looking black lantern with front install screws and room for smart bulb and camera
This is exactly what I was looking for and that is a good looking black lantern with plenty of downward space to place a usb-powered lightbulb socket to power my security camera and a smart bulb. It has front install screws (vs screws on the side) so it can be installed in very tight spaces. I got a separately purchased $10 black usb light socket so I can connect my Wyzecamv4 to it where the security camera easily and magnetically sits on top for perfect recordings. Thereâs plenty of room to install a smart bulb so I can set various schedules and different colors/brightness throughout the night and possibly some automations. I paid around $30 for this in Dec 2024 which was cheaper than what I could find in the orange big box store and arrived the next day via Amazon Prime.Extra Fun fact: changing the smart bulb color to green or a diff color makes it super easy for people, doordashers, and others to find my place or for deliveries.
