2 Years and 2 Months, Up Year âRound, Sun, Rain or Snow, Still Going Strongâ¦
I bought this umbrella two years and two months and 9 days ago, and itâs still holding up well. If I wanted to take better care of it, I would put it away in the winter time, but I like the snow protection, because I like to use my deck and BBQ all year around. Of course, there is a natural bit of fading, our summers get over 100°, winters can drop below zero, snow can get very deep, over a foot sometimes (in those cases, I lower it and knock the snow off). From underneath, there are a few little wrinkly-looking spots, (not actually wrinkly, though), maybe an inch or two long, 1/8 or less wide, in just a few areas here and there that may be wearing thinner. That comes from my use of it. The way I treat it, I might expect to want to buy one next year or the year after that. If I put it away in the winter time, or covered it when not in use, I would easily at least double the life of it.When there are going to be high winds, and Iâm aware of it, then I lower it down, but it has held up at least in 20 mile an hour winds. Of course, itâs smart to lower it, even cover it if youâre not going to use it, but sometimes I leave things on the table under the umbrella, because I know it will protect them. So I very rarely lower it down. If it has a heavy snow load, I will lower it to knock it off. Anything over 3 inches of snow, I will probably knock it off.Because it is kept affordable, I recommend it. I did buy a second one to use for a different area in my yard that will get less usage, so it will be lowered more often. But I also think of sun fade, and if I want it to fade evenly, then itâs better to leave it upâ¦or lower and cover it. Where to lower it at not cover it, I would expect it to develop stripes over time from uneven sun fade, as is obvious, but something people overlook and then complain about (totally their fault). Thereâs a novel idea, lowering and covering it, but not something I do, so up it stays 99% of the time. Lowering it down and covering it would, of course, extend the life of it even further. All the mechanisms are properly made, the pole is sturdy and tilts; itâs not some rinky-dink, cheap pole or mechanism. You can rely on it. And I love the 2 colors I bought (they are out of sight of each other, though they would be complementary). You will need an umbrella standâ¦I had a neighbor that didnât seem to understand this concept, and twice I pulled her umbrella out of the street after a little wind, because she would leave it up and did not have a stand. That basically makes it a wind sail. A good one is worth the price. Buy a good one. Itâs no place to skimp. And itâs how will you attach it to that stand that matters. If I didnât have the type of stand I have, (a good, vintage steel plate with the post to receive the umbrella post, and bolts with wing nuts to secure it) I would have the heavy stand, but I would drill into the stand (apparently not all stands actually have a hole for this, and put a screw or bolt in on 2 sides, and it wonât be able to fly up and out of it. Iâve seen people put their umbrella in the stand, but not actually secure the two together by bolting through the receiving post and the umbrella post, and tightening it down so the bolt canât fall out, and then they wonder why their umbrella flew away. The stand canât hold your umbrella down unless you lock the two together. Hence the bolts or screws. I know, it should go without saying, but then againâ¦we all see the complainers who donât get it.And theoretically, one could use anything that is wider than the hole in the table (if thatâs your application) where you put the post that can be securely locked onto the bottom of the post is enough to keep it from flying away, even if it were lightweight, as long as it didnât come off, and wouldnât fly up and potentially be hard enough with a high force wind to break a glass tabletop.A fairly flat (1/4â-1/2â) circular solid steel umbrella base with the flange is best. Itâs heavy, and one can tip the umbrella stand and roll it on the edge to relocate it, and thereâs no clunky, bulky base full of sand or water to interfere with where your feet go when you stretch your legs. Plus, those bulky plastic ones seem to crack and break on people. As long as these stay affordable, Iâll keep recommending them, and would definitely buy them as a gift, or to have more of them in my large yard. I like having different spots to hang out.

Highly recommend!
I purchased two of these umbrellas and the quality is great! The large size is exactly what I was looking for, the blue/white stripe looks good with both a black table I have on patio and a picnic table in my yard. I wasn’t sure how the function/quality would be since ordering online but I’m definitely impressed and highly recommend if you are looking for umbrellas. I looked on the interior of the umbrella and it’s well made where the fabric is sewn, the hand crank and pole are sturdy.

Just a good patio umbrella
This is a good patio umbrella for the price. We bought the exact same one five years ago and just replaced it. We bought the grey color which faded slightly overtime. Like anything it will last longer if you take care of it. If we knew a storm was coming, we would close it up and lay it down so it didn’t blow over. Pretty well-made.

Read All Reviews Before You Order and Check Prices
While waiting for the order to arrive; I was notified of âdelaysâ in delivery, but no explanations of why. And, while waiting for it to arrive, the price was lowered from what it was when I ordered. Aaaawwww shucks.Had I anticipated it would be on a spring sale, I would have waited a couple days since it was behind in its delivery date anyhow. When it came, delivered by UPS, I was shocked (but really shouldnât have been), at condition of the package.Oh Myâ¦.tape was unstuck off the box opening, pressed down to inside on part of the umbrellas material, on one end there was no tape, and it was wide open and on the other end tape was barely there.Tape was not stuck down on areas of back side of box also. Now the question, was there anything missing from the box?? Not really anyway to know since other than the umbrella there was nothing else inside.I had tried to contact the seller; I was informed I needed to contact Amazon about any issues ie, why it was delayed and would I get a credit of any kind for difference in price etc.SooooUmbrella up, itâs lighter than the older one we replaced. So itâs a little wobbly in the stand as the wind blows and thinking of a way to stabilize it so it doesnât go on a flying trip.Material of umbrella is very light, in our area it might not last as long as the old one did.Would I order this particular item again or recommendâ¦That would depend on what happens if I need to contact the seller for help if the thing falls apart in the near future.I would share pictures but for some reason they didnât transfer to my iPad

Please purchase you will not regret it
Usually I donât give review but it would be remiss of me to not review this product. Letâs just start by saying this umbrella is worth every penny. Itâs heavy duty X-Large and sturdy with the wine open/closed feature. Iâm pleased with this product holistically

Umbrella.
I bought this because I had total hip replacement and couldnât get out for a little while. Thanks to this umbrella I can go to my deck now with suffering in the hot sun!! The umbrella is very sturdy, I got the green which I love and the color did not disappoint! Great sun protection and does not move very much at all in the wind!

Provides shade from sun
Nice umbrella. Easy to set up. Not sure about tilt option and did not come with instructions. Fits in patio table with some added stuffing needed to secure. Is very effective in providing shade. Easily folds for windy days. I would buy again.
Kathy Lord –
Loved the colour and tilt function. Height was too high for me so had to cut down the support pole. Not hard to do.

Had about a year. Soft / occasional use thus far. Not fading. Love the colour. Stitching poorly done in a couple of areas
Gardener –
Where to begin….. It leaks, it’s always been challenging to tilt and lower. After two years it is completely faded and stained.

As advertised.
