I’m sorry I bought these seeds. Buyer beware.
This grab bag of sunflower seeds was a waste of my money. I have not tried to germinate them. I’m complaining about what I received. I’m not bothering to return these – I’m going to feed these seeds to my local fauna.1. Ten of the seed packets are given names that aren’t known species of sunflower, at least as far as I can tell; they are Tall, Falling Red, Long, Cut Flowers, Plush, Ornamental, Warm Yellow, Prosperous Wealth (really?), Lucky, and Colourful. It strikes me as if someone went to Google and typed in ‘Sunflowers’ and named these seeds whatever first popped up. Sloppy.2. Four of the seed packets are – sort of – named for actual sunflower varieties; Teddy Bear, Dwarf, Red, and Purple. Not Chianti or Claret or SunFill or anything, just…Red and Purple. Honestly, though, I didn’t know what I was expecting, as the picture showing what sunflower species come in the bag had a bright purple sunflower that is basically a Photoshopped picture of a plain ol’ yellow sunflower. Lower right corner flower in the picture! This was my bad, as I should have looked harder at the cover picture for this listing. If I saw what they were offering, I probably wouldn’t have bought this in the first place.3. Half of the seed packets I got had a mishmash of many different kinds of seeds. I don’t even know what each species is by name because the vast majority of these names are made up, and none of the seed packets were labeled as a specific mix of sunflowers.4. One of the bags of seeds was labeled Rudbeckia. That’s a coneflower. I don’t want to split hairs here (yeah, I do), but despite echinacea being a very small genus of the sunflower family, I don’t think the Rudbeckia seeds belong in a sunflower grab bag. This is just my opinion, be it ever so humble…and for the record, I know what Rudbeckia seeds look like, and these don’t even look like them.5. I was going to give these seeds as gifts in my friends’ baskets this Xmas, as we all have greenish thumbs. Can you imagine giving these seeds to anyone you consider a loved one? The names given to these seeds alone are embarrassing…but my friends have a terrific sense of humor, and we would probably have had a laugh at these.I really don’t like being taken for a ride. I also don’t like it when others are duped into the same thing I was. I basically cheaped out when buying seeds for my friends, and this is what I got for my troubles. Do yourself a favor. Don’t do what I did. Don’t waste your money on these seeds. Go to Burpee or Gurney’s or Park Seed or something for your sunflower seeds (or any seeds). You’ll be guaranteed to get what’s on the packet.

Good value for the money
Overall, a very good value. I didn’t count them but I’m sure the number of seeds is as advertised. Packaged in very small packets. The downside, no information about mature plant height, growing conditions, etc. A google search answered these questions. I will be planting this weekend and hopefully all will grow well.

match the picture to the name
The front of the the package had a good display of each sunflower, however it would be helpful to have a small picture attached on the individual seed packet added with the name. I will have to look up each name to match the image. I usually write the review when the product has reach full usage, so I have to see how they bloom to give a good review.
