For what it is and the price, it provides a nice heat. Iâm not so sure about quality as after the first time I used it and stored it for over 6mo, it didnât stay lit. However, it was fortunately under warranty still and East Oak was nice enough to send me the entire top replacement. It probably only needed a new thermocoupler and maybe a new dump switch, but itâs all brand new now. It works nicely again. So 5 stars for the service, maybe 3.5 for the heater.

Tip: use duct tape to pull off film Makes it easy
Straightforward to set up. The blue film is easy to remove if you use a piece of DUCT tape to pull up the blue film protection. Use it to pick up tiny pieces too. (Scotch Tape or Freezer tape were not adhesive enough )

Great! Had an issue with the ignition, but customer service resolved my issue
I am pleased with this product for everything except the ignition switch/button. On third use, the ignition button does not work. If you have a multipurpose lighter close by its not a problem. But it is inconvenient, hence why the loss of 2 stars. Otherwise I’d give it a 5 star as it looks great. It gives off a good amount of heat and was a decent value.Update: Customer service reached out and offered a solution to resolve my concern. This company is great, and I appreciated them going above and beyond.

Leaking regulator. Not a small leak. It was streaming out of the fitting.Regulator had a leak at the 1/8 npt fitting, mostly from it being stripped out the in aluminum.Make this whole thing useless and dangerous.Now I have to spend more money on a regulator.So 30 dollars and a trip to tractor supply and my new heater worksMaking this effectively 40 dollars more expensive, and delay in using this by couple days till I had time to replum the gass system. At least I have the ability to work on the thing, most would have tossed in trash or returned the useless broke out the box junk.Would not buy this again and can not recommend because you have a gas leak.As a follow up, they reached out and made it right. I was compensated for my time and the new regulator. I appreciate them reaching out, their customer service rep was polite and prompt. The heater works as intended now and I enjoy seating under it. Plenty of heat. Thank you

Look, here’s the deal – I bought two of these for my patio here in SoCal. Setting it up was a breeze, and when I first tested it out with a 20lb propane tank, everything worked great.Here’s the thing though – even with the weighted base I bought separately AND a full propane tank, one of those crazy Santa Ana winds we get in the fall knocked it right over one night. Kind of a scary moment!But here’s where it gets good – I reached out to both Amazon and the manufacturer about it, and the manufacturer was awesome. They sent me a new deflector shield completely free. I really appreciated that they understood that even with all the right precautions (weighted base and full tank), these strong winds can be no joke.Quick tip for anyone buying this: if you know it’s going to be windy, just move it somewhere sheltered or find a way to secure it better. Some tie-downs or extra weights at the bottom would probably do the trick.Bottom line – the heater works great, and the customer service was top-notch when I needed help. Just be smart about where you put it if you live somewhere that gets strong winds like we do in SoCal!

Patio heater is well made and heats better than expected. Shortly after purchasing – heater had a issue that was determined to be a faulty part.
